Mary Jo Waxler Medical Fund

If you've received this link, there's a good chance you've met Mary Jo Waxler. As such you may know that on March 28th 2018, Mary Jo had a serious heart attack. The attack prevented her from getting oxygen to her brain, rendering her unresponsive. With limited options at hand, she was put into an induced hypothermia to slow the damage, and give her heart and brain a chance to restart. This treatment was, thankfully, very effective, and she is now in the process of recovering from fractured ribs, a resulting arrhythmia, and struggles with short-term memory. All of this is in addition to her continued dialysis treatment, and the management of her diabetes. If you know Mary Jo, you know she's got a kind word for everyone, and has a knack for bringing out the best in others. You know her to be a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandma, devoted to all titles equally; above all though, she's the most honest friend you'll ever find. Those blessed with her presence in their lives would waste no time in telling you she'd walk to the ends of the earth for the people she loves. We're grateful for her fight and for every new day she's still with us, and God-willing, another step closer to a full recovery. Although Mary Jo and Bruce have medical insurance, it will not be enough to cover the cost of treatment in the ICU and the continued care that now follows. Our family is asking for donations on her behalf, and all donations will go to directly to Mary Jo and Bruce. We thank you dearly for your contributions, thoughts, and prayers. Mary Jo has the biggest heart in the world, and we intend to keep it around as long as possible.
