Mary Eganza Evusa Hospital Fund

I urge for your assistance with a heavy heart. My sister, Mary Evusa, is currently under an induced coma at Aga Khan Hospital, Kenya. After four days of attempts to reach her, my brother found her unresponsive. It is unclear as to what led to her condition; however we are grateful for my brother’s prompt action to break into her apartment and rush her to the hospital. Her doctors have established that she sustained severe brain trauma. My sister has already undergone surgery to relieve the swelling off her brain. She is currently admitted at Aga Khan’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Her doctors plan on weaning her off her induced coma this coming Monday, September 18, 2017. As you can imagine, my parents are worried about her prognosis and the last thing I want them to worry about is finances.

For those who know my sister, she is a long time licensed clinical nurse practitioner who cared about her patients. I urge you to please consider helping our family during this time of need. So far the hospital bill is about $20,000 (2 million Kenyan Shillings) and climbing. My younger sister, husband and I have been able to pay about $5,000 (500,000 Kenyan Shillings); however we need your assistance. Please bear in mind that my sister, Mary, has a long way to go on her road to recovery.
