Mary Allen's fight against cancer

God is bigger than cancer...
Anyone that knows Mary Allen has witnessed her unbelievably strong faith in her Lord and Savior. They have also witnessed a giving nature that can only be described as "Christ-like."

Mary had some stomach issues that led to 3 surgeries. During the last of these surgeries  doctors removed a blockage in her colon. It was determined that the mass they removed was cancer. It was initially believed that the cancer was isolated to her colon and lymph nodes in that area. Then the PET scan revealed it has spread to her liver and lymph nodes in her chest. Mary endured her first chemotherapy treatment on January 5, 2017. The treatment is expected to last several months.

Mary has dedicated her life to giving and caring for others. Mary worked as a caregiver for developmentally disabled individuals for over twenty years at the Enid State School. After retiring from the school, Mary realized her life was not fulfilled. To satisfy her need and desire to care for others, she brought a disabled young lady into her home. "Dannie" requires total care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Mary has cared for Dannie for the last 13 years. Mary has not only opened her heart to satisfy the needs of others, she is always the first to offer financial help to anyone that may need it. Without hesitation, she would give her last dollar to a total stranger. We have all heard her say "I know the good Lord will provide for me."

Mary is 79 years old but you would never know it. She is full of laughter and spreads positivity with every word. She has total faith in God's will. Mary never complains and would NEVER ask for help from anyone. But she needs our help! We cannot let Mary battle this horrible disease alone. She has financial obligations to meet while facing a significant loss of income.  There are also noncovered medical expenses related to this treatment. Please consider giving back to a woman that has "given it all" her entire life.

Thank you and God bless you.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
