Marvin's Fund

As many of your know Marvin Garay is an member of The Essex Condominium Staff.  Marvin is originally from El Salvador and has been working at the Essex for 7 years.  Marvin is a valuable member of the Essex Family, he is a hard worker, he is a proud father and friend to anyone he meets.  Marvin immigrated to the United States under the Temporary Protective Status (TPS) given to El Salvador, however this month El Salvador's protective status was not renewed. 

Due to the non-renewal of TPS Marvin will have to leave the United States September 2019 and go back to El Salvador, and he and his wife will have tough decisions to make concerning their 4 US born children.  As of right now his only viable option is to ask his employer to sponsor him for a green card.  Gates Hudson will sponsor his green card but Unfortunately they cannot cover the cost of the sponsorship.

We are collecting funds to cover the $16,000 that it will cost to start the green card process.  $10,000 of the funds will cover the costs of the green card application process and the remaining $6,000 will cover the legal fees associated with the filing of the application.  The filing will include his spouse and since his 4 children were born in the U.S. they are already U.S. Citizens.  

Any amount you can donate will help us reach our goal and  help keep Marvin and his family together. 

Time is of the essence because the green card application process will take at least a year and a half and the protective status ends September 2019.
