Marvelous Marcie and the Henn Family

Hey all,

We are Art and Megan, Marvelous Marcie's first cousins once removed (but we prefer Uncle Art and Aunt Megan). The love we feel for Marcie and this family is beyond measure. Marcie has had a harrowing journey with her latest open heart surgery on December 5th. Her heart is stronger than ever but hours after the surgery, she experienced a devastating stroke, followed by brain swelling which led to an emergent craniotomy, and a medically induced coma. These measures were taken to save her life.

But Marcie is a fighter.

Over the last few days, Marcie has shown so much improvement she has driven medical staff to tears of joy. She is responding to voices, following directions, moving her limbs, and ever so slowly, shedding some of the tubes and sensors that covered her head to toe just a few days ago.

Marvelous Marcie is fighting every second of every hour of every day to come back to us and that will take time. Dave and Carolyn are her ever-present guardians, her biggest fans and advocates. They are planning for her future and looking toward physical therapy among other things. While there are still so many unknowns, these donations will go directly to the Henn Family for medical bills and will help support them in the days and weeks to come. Your generosity will allow Dave and Carolyn the ability to be with Marcie while she continues to fight. Your support will give them the gift of time.
