Marva & Daniel's Medical Expenses

This is Marva and her son Daniel. These pictures were taken just last month when Marva's other son, Kevin, married my daughter, Alex. It was a joyous time for both families as we celebrated their marriage.
Then, on Monday, June 12th, some of the most terrifying news we had ever received came. Marva and Daniel had been shot during an attempted home invasion.

Because it's an ongoing investigation, we cannot reveal a lot of the details. And neither could the doctors as our families waited for hours for what little information the doctors were legally allowed to share.
By the grace of God alone, Marva has been released from the hospital and we are just waiting for Daniel to, well, have a movement ;) . Now, the next stage begins...healing. This is where you come in. Many of you have asked how you might help...this is one way. We don't know how much of these medical expenses will be covered by insurance, especially for Daniel. In addition, there will be the lost wages and unforeseen expenses that always seem to pop up. If insurance happens to cover all, anything raised here will go to continue God's blessings and work.
For those of you who don't know them, Marva is a pastor for the deaf at St. Matthew's Church in Belleville. She is an amazing wife, mother (in-law), grandmother, friend and mentor. I was astounded when I realized how much she loves music and dancing, she herself being deaf.
Daniel has been called to ministry and is a faithful son, brother, friend and mentor. He would tell you that he has had a long road to accepting God's grace. To that, I say this: God does everything for a purpose and sometimes we don't understand it or like it along the way but He always reveals himself. The path Daniel was on, from the very beginning, put him in his mother's house on June 12th so that he could be there to save her. Without his journey, this may well have ended very differently.
As stated earlier, we don't know how much expense there will be to the family. If you would still like to help, please donate or forward this to others. Any amount will help.
