To know Marty Bania was to know a selfless, compassionate man. A one-of-a-kind husband, father, brother, uncle, son and friend.
We are saddened to announce that we lost this remarkable man on February 10th after suffering a massive heart attack. As expected, he fought valiantly through open heart surgery to repair a hole in his heart, a double bypass, and many other procedures. In the end though, his body had enough and we all knew it was time for him to rest and return home.
We are so thankful to the doctors at UMass Memorial Medical Center, especially Dr. Mary Huerter, who worked tirelessly to save his life as well as for everyone's support and outpouring of love at this difficult time.
