The National Chimney Sweep Guild hopes to raise money to provide financial assistance for Martin and his family.
Aube was returning from a job site in November 2013 when his work van was struck head-on by a drunk driver. He sustained a head injury and soft-tissue damage during the collision, and other medical complications, including a large chip off of his hip bone.
This bone chip is rubbing major nerves and tendons in Aube’s outer leg. An X-ray also showed that his spine was twisted like a corkscrew from the impact. He is awaiting an MRI to check for additional injuries. The MRI results will determine if surgery is necessary to remove or re-attach the ‘floating’ bone in his hip and then they will have to figure out what to do to re-align his spine.
Martin is the son of Yvette and Vince Aube, both longtime supporters of the NCSG and International Members of the Guild.
Due to his injuries Martin will not be able to return to work for some time. To help out Martin and his family we are asking you to "Sweep One for Martin Aube." We are encouraging you to sweep one chimney and donate the proceeds towards helping out Martin and his family.
Any little bit that you can donate would go a long way to help.
Donations may be made by credit card through this page or sent to directly to Martin Aube at:
