Martin Levano is Fighting Leukemia
Martin is fighting Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) and needs your help now. 
BACKGROUND
In February of 2020, at 32 years old, Martin Levano Quispe was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). Soon after being diagnosed, the COVID pandemic struck the world and Martin was laid off for his job along with hundreds of others working for the major airline, Avianca. With this, he lost his income and health insurance.
Despite this devastating loss, he persevered and underwent his initial treatment with chemotherapy and by April 2020, things were turning a corner. His brother had been identified as a perfectly matched donor for the next and final step of his treatment : bone marrow transplant. By September 2020, the bone marrow transplant was underway. This was his last option in his home country of Peru.
However, during his follow up appointment right before the holiday season, Martin learned that the bone marrow transplant had failed.
The doctors told, "Go home and live out the rest of your life at home with your wife and children." This would be the last Christmas that Valentina (6 years old) and Catalina (3 years old), would spend with their father.
However, after endless research , Martin came across an opportunity for another chance at life at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Here is where he needs your help. Without this treatment ALL is fatal.
The total cost of this treatment is upward of $500,000.
His doctors have told him because his cancer has proven to be chemotherapy resistant, his only options are either cellular therapy or immunotherapy, both of which are expensive options if paid out of pocket and neither of which are readily available in Peru.
WHERE DO WE START
We need to raise $100,000 in 90 days to get Martin to his first appointment.
100% of these funds will go towards paying for medical treatment. Martin live in Peru and does not have access to domestic or international health insurance plans but is eligible to pay out of pocket for medical care at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
At his first appointment Martin will need:
1. A whole body CT scan
2. Bone marrow biopsy
3. Consultation with Leukemia Oncologists
REACHING THE ULTIMATE GOAL
After Martin's initial visit, his treatment will then be tailored based on his evaluation. With the help from his family, friends, church and community, Martin my continue to enjoy watching his daughters laugh and grow.

Martin esta luchando contra la leucemia linfocítica aguda y necesita tu ayuda ahora.
ANTECEDENTES
En febrero del 2020, a los 32 años, Martín Levano Quispe fue diagnosticado con leucemia linfocítica aguda (LLA). No mucho despues de ser diagnosticado con cancer, se inicio la pandemia del COVID y Martín fue despedido de su trabajo junto con otros colegas los cuales trabajaban para la aerolinea Avianca. Con este suceso, perdio sus ingresos y seguros de salud.
A pesar de tan devastadora perdida, él perseveró y se sometió a su tratamiento inicial con quimioterapia y para el mes de abril del 2020, las cosas empezaron a mejorar. Su hermano había sido identificado como un donante perfectamente compatible para el siguiente y último paso de su tratamiento: el transplante de médula ósea. Para setiembre del 2020, el transplante de médula ósea estaba en proceso. Esta era su ultima opcion en su pais natal, Peru.
Sin embargo, en la cita medica de seguimiento antes de las fiestas navideñas, Martin fue informado que el transplante de médula ósea había fallado.
Los doctores entonces le indicaron que regrese a casa y viva lo que le quedaba de vida en su hogar con su esposa e hijas. Esta sería la ultima Navidad que Valentina (6 años) y Catalina (3 años) pasarían con su padre.
A pesar de ello y luego de interminable investigacion, Martín se encontró con una nueva oportunidad de vida en el MD Anderson Cancer Center .
ES AQUI donde él necesita de su ayuda. Sin este tratamiento el cancer que sufre es fatal.
El costo total de su tratamiento asciende a mas de $500,000.
Sus doctores le han dicho que debido a que el cancer ha demostrado ser resistente a las quimioterapias, sus unicas opciones son o la terapia celular o la inmunoterapia, las cuales son opciones muy caras y que no se encuentran disponibles en Peru.
DONDE EMPEZAR
Necesitamos recaudar $100,000 en 90 dias para que Martin tenga su primera cita.
El 100% de los fondos recaudados iran al pago del tratamiento medico. Martin vive en Peru y no tiene acceso a un plan de seguro local o internacional, pero califica para poder pagar por servicio medico al MD Anderson Cancer Center por medios propios.
En la primera cita Martin necesitara:
1. Una tomografia computarizada de cuerpo entero
2. Biopsia de medula osea
3. Consulta con oncologos de leucemia

Lugo de la visita inicial de Martin, su tratamiento sera personalizado de acuerdo a su evaluacion. Con la ayuda de su familia, amigos, la iglesia y comunidad, Martin podria continuar disfrutando el ver reir y crecer a sus hijas.
