The Martins will be adding two new children to our family this August!
Not long after we found out that we are pregnant, we were given the opportunity to adopt a child. That child is due within a week of our other child! We are so grateful for this opportunity. As many of you know, God has prepared our hearts for adoption from the beginning of our marriage. It has always been a goal of ours to reflect Christ in this way and we are over the moon that He has called us to do so already!
Since Katie is pregnant, we were not particularly planning on adopting any time soon. We always thought that we would be completely finished having children biologically, Josh would have an established career, and many other things before we pursued adoption! But, God has other plans for our family and we are so grateful that He has given us the measures of grace and faith to take this next step as a family!
The money we raise will help with the costs of having one more child than we initially planned for this year. Going from 1 child to 3 children is much more financially burdensome than we anticipated! We will use the funds for everything from helping financially support the birth mother during her pregnancy and through postpartum recovery, buying a minivan, legal fees, and all of the little and big things that a baby needs.
We are so grateful that so many people have been asking us how they can support us! Thank you, thank you, thank you for joining us on this journey that God has given us!
