<div>Our dad was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer. He needs an emergency surgery to remove a tumor and part of his stomach before the cancer spreads to other organs.

<div>Maybe you don't know our dad, maybe you received this message through a friend, but we'd like to tell you a little about him:

<div>Martin Ernesto Bravo Marshall is 62 years old and will be celebrating his 63rd birthday on May 14th. In June, he’ll be celebrating his 40th wedding anniversary with our mom. He is the father of three, grandfather of one, and a friend to many. He's the kind of person who takes life lightly. He is active and loves to surf! We can proudly say he still does and does it very well. About one month ago he fell ill to the point of not being able to exercise or move. It all started with an upset stomach. It worsened so quickly we sought immediate medical attention and then the medical tests began. At first, the doctors thought it was a parasite or amoebas, but his condition continued to rapidly deteriorate. An endoscopy detected a tumor, and unfortunately, a biopsy came back positive for cancer. Cancer is not new in our family. Carolina suffered from leukemia, a blood cancer, when she was only 9 years old. God is great and has allowed her to heal. We strongly believe that with the proper medical care, the help of God and you, our father will be fine and will continue surfing for many more years.

Padre de tres, abuelo de una y amigo de muchos. Es el tipo de persona que ve la vida a la ligera. Le encanta surfear y orgullosamente podemos decir que todavía lo hace y lo hace muy bien! Ama hacer ejercicio y siempre cuidó de su cuerpo hasta hace un mes en el que comenzó a sentirse mal, al punto de no poder ejercitarse o poder moverse. Todo comenzó con un malestar en el estomago. Empeoro tan rápido que decidimos buscar asistencia medica, ahi comenzaron los estudios medicos. Primero pensaron que eran amibas, pero después de estar en tratamiento no mejoro y solo continuo empeorando. Fue por medio de una endoscopia que le detectaron un tumor y lamentablemente la biopsia dio positivo al cancer.

<div>El cancer no es nuevo en nuestra familia. Carolina tuvo leucémia, cancer en la sangre, cuando tenía solamente 9 años. Dios es muy grande y le permitió sanar. Creemos fuertemente que con la atención medica correcta, la ayuda De Dios y ustedes, nuestro padre estará bien y podrá seguir surfeando por muchos años más.
