Honoring Our Angel Martha Mora

Donation protected

Hello everyone, I am writing this with a broken heart. On Tuesday night, my beautiful aunt Martha passed away in the hospital after being there since Monday morning. Her hospital visit was shocking, as she was an extremely strong person who tolerated pain like no other. Soon after being admitted, the doctors found that her condition was serious. They began to do more tests and within hours we were told her organs were failing. As the time passed she needed more and more medicine to keep her alive. By this time her organs were considered “failed” and she was on 3 different forms of life support. The machines were performing her organ functions for her but we needed her body to be able to do some of the work on its own for her to get better. Needless to say, we all thought she was going to pull through. My aunt Martha was a fighter of the strongest kind. She had been through many other serious health issues in her lifetime and we thought this would just be another hurdle to get over. Sadly, we were wrong - her body could no longer fight, and she passed away the next night, Tuesday September 18th.

This loss has left a gaping hole in our family that will never be filled. There is a piece missing from all of our hearts that is with her. Martha was a guardian angel to each one of us. She protected all of us, she took care of all of us, she loved us each in such a special way that can never be replaced. None of us know how to continue life without her presence. She was and is our entire world.

Martha has touched many lives in the community, in the schools she worked at, in her previous job at Macy’s, and everywhere she went. Whether you knew her as Martha or as Ms. Mora you know how amazing she truly was. She was generous, kind, caring, honest, funny, a force to be reckoned with, and the best aunt I could ever have. She is one of those people that once you meet her, her presence and personality is never forgotten. She leaves an imprint on your heart no matter how well you knew her.

Needless to say, her unexpected passing left our family with financial responsibilities we weren’t prepared for. We want to give her a nice memorial and service to honor her life. Many of you have given your condolences and love to us and we truly appreciate it and it is more than we could ask. Many of you have also asked if you could help financially in any way. If you would like to contribute whatever you are able, we would be extremely grateful. We know that many of you have been touched by Martha in your lives and it warms us to know that she is so loved. Thank you to everyone who has had Martha and our family in your thoughts and hearts.❤️
