With a heavy heart, we humbly ask for your prayers and help. On March 22, 2019, our beloved sister, Martha “Gabee” Thy, was murdered and taken from us suddenly. Her significant other was driving her car on Loop 101 prior to the Thunderbird exit in Peoria, Arizona. In shock and disbelief, he crashed her car, grabbed a knife and viciously stabbed her repeatedly while she sat helplessly in the passenger seat. As hard as she fought, due to the serious nature of her injuries, she did not make it. Martha was pronounced dead as she was rushed to the hospital. She suffered deep cuts to her face, upper torso, and body. She was only 33 years old.
Anyone who knew Martha, knows she had a huge heart and she always put other needs above her own. She was generous, affectionate, and loved by so many people. She was an amazing mother to three beautiful girls. One of the greatest tragedies in life is when you lose not one but both parents. Fifteen months ago, her daughters lost their father in a car accident, and now their mother. We can’t imagine what they are going through. Her daughters are incredible young ladies who deserve the very best of care, love, and support.
Funeral expenses are just the beginning of our family challenges. Martha’s passing is not only tragic, but the loss of her life will have devastating effect on family and friends. Many people have asked about ways to help, with gratitude we have created this Go Fund Me campaign to raise money for our sister’s memorial, her three daughters, and also awareness about domestic violence. Please make any contribution you can. No amount is too small or too big to give. We also ask that you spread this page and share.
