Martell Honeymoon Cruise (delayed)

My son Freddy and new daughter-in-law Ginny had a perfect wedding yesterday. It was absolutely beautiful and everyone there was moved by the love and caring they have for each other.  All of their family and friends know they are wonderful people individually inside and out but together they are magic.   My husband Scot and I were thrilled to be able to give the happy couple a cruise on the Royal Caribbean Oasis which was to begin today.  We were so excited for them!...but our enthusiasm was turned to shock, panic and then sadness in a period of three hours.  They were unable to board the ship.  No amount of pleading or explaining, phone calls or talks with customs or RCCI staff could change anything.  You see, Ginny couldn't locate her birth certificate and her passport had been expired more than 5 years.  Ginny had thought her mom had her birth certificate, and her mom had thought she had it.  Several attempts the night before and the next day to locate the missing document failed.   So, after 4 hours at Port Canaveral, they have been turned away, unable to board and we were told there would be no refund and their honeymoon cruise could not be rescheduled.  They are counted as a "no show." and we are out the money.  I didn't cry at the wedding, (I was just so happy!) but I did cry a lot today.   I don't want to feel defeated...and know they really deserve a real honeymoon cruise.  I'm hoping that family and friends that know Freddy & Ginny and maybe weren't able to attend the wedding would be willing to contribute $10 or $20 for the "Martell Honeymoon Fund".  If just 100-150 people would do this, we could send them off on the cruise they planned and dreamed of (after Ginny gets a replacement passport!) and let them know how much they are loved.    I appreciate your time and consideration in reading this and of course your contribution for my son and daughter-in-law's special honeymoon.  They feel and appreciate your love!!
