Dear All,
I honestly never thought it will come to this but considering the current political climate I would like to ask for your help.
I'm 36, a mother to three wonderful daughters and married to a very supportive and patient husband
By nationality I am a Polish citizen with Permanent Residency status here in the UK. I have moved to the UK at the beginning of 2006 and met my husband /Steve in Edinburgh where I settled in 2007.
I would like to think that I am an honest person, loving mother and a law abiding citizen. I have a good knowledge of English language , British culture and history. Ever since I came here in have been working hard and paying my taxes.
I consider the UK, especially Edinburgh, Scotland, to be my home with established life and network of friends and Family.
I am happy here and I do not wish to move back to my native country.
Despite the fact that Steve is working full time, I am currently a stay at home, carer to our first born daughter with a complex disability and naturally a full time mum to all 3 of our girls.
This is why I wanted to ask for any financial help towards the British Citizenship fee which Is quite overwhealming and unachievable on our own
For most part I thought that receiving a Permanent Residency status would be sufficient to put my mind at ease, however in the current political climate I am gradually loosing that confidence.
My financial estimate is based on the below:
Basil Paterson IELTS exam fee: £155 ( now passed with 8.5 Academic score)
Pitman Training centre, Life in the UK test: £50( now passed )
Naturalisation fee: £1330( main expense to cover )
Citizenship ceremony: £80
Passport £ 80
My dream initially was to have the supporting funds by the end of 2017 due to the fees increase ,however this has now been moved to the end of 2018 hopefully .
As long as my British Citizenship is finalised before that, It would do a great deal in putting mine and my family mind at ease.
