My name is Marta Vidican and on my forty first birthday, I received the news that would alter my life forever. I was diagnosed with stage four uterine cancer. After having the life saving surgery I needed, I was informed by my doctors that this is a very aggressive cancer that will require chemotherapy and radiation to control and shrink the tumors in my body. I was hesitant about having the chemotherapy recommended for me having learned of the many side affects. I finally agreed to go with the chemo. The first round went okay and after one week I developed side affects including mouth sores, neuropathy and the loss of my hair. I was scheduled for my second round of chemotherapy and five minutes into the infusion my heart stopped. It took the paramedics over ten minutes to get my pulse back and after 24 hours of being intubated, I miraculously recovered . I never thought that the day would come when I would be in a position to ask for help to cover the monthly insurance premiums , doctor copays, medication copays and so many other necessities. I was no longer able to keep my job as of about two weeks ago. I was raised in a family of hard working Christian parents who taught us that it is more blessed to give than to receive. It is hard for me to ask, but if you find it in your heart to help, it will be greatly appreciated! I have strong faith in God that he will help restore my health and I will be a witness to his mercy and miracles that still exist. God is the same yesterday, today and will be forever more! My late father was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 37 and given two weeks to live. He was a living miracle that survived his leukemia for fourteen years and passed away from pneumonia complications. I have seen this miracle with my own eyes, his story was written on the front page of the Ann Arbor News, Sunday edition titled "Stubbornness and Faith in God helped make Medical History". I trust in God for the same miracle. Thank you kindly!
