Lamar Patterson – Chronic Pancreatitis (Type 2)

Our friend Mar was experiencing stomach discomfort that started off as an uncomfortable nuisance, however, as time went on, it gradually turned into a sharp piercing pain that came in waves. He went to doctor thinking he was just going to have a stomach virus or something less serious. He was prescribed pain medicine but to no avail, the pain went on. Lamar began experiencing agony beyond his capabilities and frequented the doctor but they were unable to determine what was wrong with him.
On Monday, January 21, 2019, he found himself unable to leave his bedroom and go up the stairs by himself. He began to feel nauseous and started throwing up. He called for his roommate who came down and helped him up the stairs and they left for the hospital.
After running dozens of tests and cat scans, they were able to diagnose Mar with Chronic Pancreatitis; a very painful and sometimes fatal condition. They admitted him to the ICU immediately.
As of 1/29/19, Lamar is still in the hospital and is hooked up to oxygen and is unable to even go to the bathroom by himself. Further tests have indicated that Lamar also has gallstones and needs his Gallbladder removed.
Unfortunately, Lamar does not have health insurance and will be left with the burden of all the medical bills. Lamar can’t do anything but lay in bed and pray. Anyone that knows Lamar knows that he does not deserve this.
We are only asking for a fraction of what his medical bills will be. Those who donate, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Even If we don’t reach our goal we will do everything in our power to make him as comfortable as possible. Even if you can’t donate, we want to thank you all for reading and supporting him.
