Marshon Dance Company (Save The Arts)
Hi everyone, my name's Nathan Marsh.
I'm the owner and director of Marshon Dance Company.
This company is my heart and soul - It's been my past 4-5 years work and thus far has been completely funded from my own pocket. I founded Marshon Dance Company in May 2016 with a single team of young dancers in Birmingham. We now proudly consist of 4 teams and over 50 committed dancers!
We train/rehearse for several hours in central Birmingham every weekend. Our schedule reflects my own training ethic. Since I began my personal dance journey I've not gone a week without wanting to train. I understand that most dancers feel the same way and therefore we train together all year round. We have become more than just a company, we are a family.
The company's biggest outgoings are studio costs. For this, we need your help.
Due to coronavirus, as we make our way back into the studio we must have fewer people in the space. This means less studio time for each dancer and higher company outgoings overall - after having already been set back during lockdown.
Your donations will enable us to:
- Provide our dancers with a safe space to train
- Provide affordable training for all members
At Marshon Dance Company we bring the community together, build confidence, encourage creativity and expression, give young people the skills they need to succeed professionally in their future dance careers and even help them to get their careers started! Our training keeps our dancers fit, healthy and gives them something to look forward to each week. With such a diverse group of company members, we pride ourselves on being able to bring them all together as equals and to provide high quality and affordable training for everyone.
Our core values are Family, Community, Empowerment and of course, Dance. I'm proud to say that all of these values are met by our dancers!
I decided to set up this GoFundMe in order to help guarantee that all of our dedicated company members can get back into the studio doing what they love.
