David Marshall Cancer Fight

Hi everyone! My name is Mandy and I’m the older sister of David Marshall. I want to personally thank each of you who have previously supported my brother in his fight with colon cancer, but unfortunately the fight is not over. If you’re reading this then you’ve probably already heard the uneasy news that David is in the early stages of round two battling cancer. He finished his last chemo session 6 months ago and received clean scans, however his last scan in July brought hard news revealing fast-moving cancer in new areas throughout his body. The scans revealed 4 tumors in his lungs and one larger tumor within the muscle in his hip/pelvic area. The doctors are concerned as the cancer is aggressive returning in such a short amount of time and spreading to new places in his body. Due to the aggressive nature and type of cancer, David and his family are now set to take their fight to John Hopkins in Maryland to receive the best care possible. Thankfully, this resource exists as they are recognized internationally as a leader in this area of healthcare, however the costs and associated challenges facing David’s family are immense. A 7 hr drive each way. Lodging, gas, food, and obviously the medical bills will add up fast. Not to mention a wife and kids to continue supporting throughout this fight. David is 31 years old with a beautiful wife Amanda and two sons, Levi, Luke and a baby on the way due in March. 

 
His first meeting at John Hopkins August 8th …we will have a LOT more info as to his care at that point.

 
David is strong, is faith in God is strong, and his family and friends are strong. It is going to take all of us to fight this!
