Married Mission To Africa

We are going to Africa!!! This is the third year for me (Laramie) and Dylan's first time. We just got married in March, but we don't feel that missions has to wait. We are so excited to just get there and love on the kids, there is no explanation for how much we want it to be August 1st already. 

From Laramie: 
Last year the enemy tried so hard to keep me from going. I had gone to the first Ignite camp in 2016 and fell in love, but for some reason it was so, so difficult to get there again a year later. The things the Lord does on trips like these, is something that you can't really explain. I can only ever describe it to the best of my abilities, but then encourage people to go for themselves. All these kids have is the Lord. They sleep on the ground, eat once  a day (twice if they're sponsored), and do their best to navigate their lives in the slum. If there was any way that I could be there year round, I definitely would. They have stolen my heart. 

My Grandfather died a week before my first trip and Africa has become my place of healing. There is something special about the soil there, something extravagant about the worship, something so spirit-filled about the people. Africa is home to me for so many reasons, but one of the biggest reasons is because it was a place where I could be my raw, ugly, honest self, while loving and healing with these kids. There is nothing fake, nothing glamorous about Nairobi. But angels live there, and I am constantly yearning for heaven.

From Dylan:
Having only done a few mission trips, this is very exciting for me. I firmly believe that the best work that I can do in this life is to just love, listen to others, and to be there when I am needed. Be Free Revolution is offering this in a major way. I see this is as a once-in-a-lifetime life-long opportunity. I have the honor and privilege of beginning relationships and serving in a way that could impact someone's life here and eternally. Isn't that all you could ask for?

For both of us to go on this trip it costs $7,600. Quite a scary number! But we believe that the Lord wants both of us to go, so we are confident it will happen. 

We need help getting to Nairobi and hope that if you are reading this, you would be willing to help in the financial aspect, as well as the prayer aspect. The team will need a lot of prayer for safety, provision, guidance, spirit-filled leadership, and discernment as we do the work we feel the Lord has called us to in Africa.
