Marquia's Fight for Life

Marquia is a beautiful 13 year girl that is autistic and fighting for her life due to Stage 4 - Nephroblastoma (form of cancer)....
Last week she underwent major surgery after being taken to St. Luke's ER for abdominal pain and loss of appetite. They found she had a large tumor on her stomach and had her immediately transferred to St. Christopher's Children's Hospital in Philly. It is there, she underwent a major 4-hour operation to remove the tumor found. They were advised that they were able to remove the tumor completely from her stomach, however it had spread to both of her lungs. The risks of removing it from her lungs are fair greater than the treatment. If that wasn't enough, they were advised that she was diagnosed with Wilms' Tumor / Nephroblastoma at Stage 4 with a 50% chance with Chemo & Radiation.
Marquia must now start the fight for her life with the support of her loving family with aggressive treatments for the next year or more. With that said .....
The family has one primary income, which is provided by her mother Lulu. With her Stepmother Mallorie as her caregiver. Lulu is currently on FMLA, however that's limited to only guaranteeing her a position to come back to without compensation. The income will be limited especially when needing to be home with Marquia. Which will be off and on for the next year of treatment. The family has a total of 6 children between the both of them that need their care as well. This journey will be tough on all of them.
