<div>Marlisse has been living with Ovarian Cancer since May 10, 2019. Following more than eight hours of surgery, we were told the next 24 hours were critical. But she is a fighter and a thriver. She has always been committed to making memories every day and in her words, “feeling all the feels!” In spite of non-stop medical appointments and seemingly neverending treatment, she has continued to work full-time for the past four years. She is such a dedicated teacher. After her days in the classroom, she spends additional hours coaching her school’s Science Olympiad team, taking her students on educational trips during Spring Break, and supervising her school’s Impact Club. No matter how exhausted she is at the end of the day, she truly feels blessed.

<div>Marlisse and I are devastated that we won’t become parents, especially since she was able to freeze her eggs prior to her diagnosis. But time is no longer on our side. She wants to be well enough to care for our baby and be around to raise our child. But this is not in the cards for us. So we’ve decided to channel all of our energy into spending the time we have left focused on joy!

<div>Marlisse is currently able-bodied and continues to have a zest for travel. So, we are hoping to generate funds for her to see the places on her bucket list before she is no longer able.

<div>I am a Veteran and work for a non-profit as a Veteran Peer Support Specialist. Marlisse is a middle school teacher and our income is limited. Medical bills continue to pile up so our finances are stretched extremely thin. I am asking that you consider donating whatever you are able to help my wife fulfill her dreams of seeing more of this beautiful world and lowering our burden of medical debt.
