 Hi, ich bin Marlin. Ich habe mich für MICH entschieden. Jetzt brauche ich eure Unterstützung.

 <strong>Meine Geschichte</strong>
</div>
<div>
Um es in Fizzarollis Worten zu sagen: 'I don't hide what I am - I know exactly who I am'.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <strong>Wo ich jetzt stehe</strong>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <strong>Die Kosten im Überblick:</strong>
</div>
<div>
 Reine OP-Kosten: 6.545 €
</div>
<div>
 Anästhesie: 1.200 €
</div>
<div>
 Folgekostenversicherung: 209 €
</div>
<div>
 Notwendige Vor- und Nach-Untersuchungen (Sonografie, Nachkontrollen): ca. 105 €
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 Fahrtkosten: ca. 190 €
</div>
<div>
 Post-OP-Medikamente und -Hilfsmittel (z.B. Salben, Verbände, Post-OP-Westen u.a.): ca. 320 €
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <strong>Wie eure Spenden helfen</strong>
</div>
<div>

<div>
 Hi, I'm Marlin. I've decided to be myself. Now I need your support.

<div>
 <strong>My Story</strong>
</div>
<div>
 I've dreamed my whole life of having a flat chest—even though I didn't realize until my late twenties that I'm trans* and non-binary. As a child and teenager, unfortunately I didn't have any role models who could have shown me who I might become, and I like many of us, I didn't have the words to describe my struggle. After a life full of self-doubt and failed attempts to fit into the binary, coming out to myself was incredibly liberating. To quote Fizzarolli: “I don’t hide what I am—I know exactly who I am.”
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Today, I know more than ever before who I am and who I want to be. The top surgery in 2025 was the first big step on my journey. I won’t ever regret this. For the first time, my body feels right. It might sound a bit extreme, but the operation was a matter of survival for me. If you’re also trans* or are very close to someone who is trans*, I’m sure you know what I mean.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 In 2025, I finally decided to improve my quality of life and found a clinic where I felt completely at ease. The care I received before and after the operation from my surgeon and the clinic staff in general was outstanding – professional, empathetic and competent support from the initial consultation right through to the final follow-up appointment. The name I chose was respected right from the start. The result is exactly as I’d hoped. My scars have healed really well. Medically speaking, I’m in safe hands.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 As a non-binary person, I unfortunately had no prospect of my health insurance covering the costs. The insurance company has let me down on several occasions in the past too – chronic illnesses have already placed a heavy financial burden on me in recent years, without any lasting help ever being forthcoming. It has always been a hopeless battle. It was no different with the mastectomy: dealing with the health insurance company – for whom, as a non-binary person, I practically don’t even exist – would have taken years – time that I simply didn’t have anymore. So I had no choice but to pay for everything myself.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <strong>My current situation</strong>
</div>
<div>
 The surgery was crucial to my health and life, and I will never regret it. But financially, it hit hard. The total cost has left a hole that I cannot fill on my own. The operation and everything involved did cost around €9,000, used up all my savings and left me in debt. My financial cushion is gone, and I’ve borrowed money that I have to pay back.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <strong>An overview of the costs:</strong>
</div>
<div>
 Surgery costs only: €6,545
</div>
<div>
 Anaesthesia: €1,200
</div>
<div>
 Insurance for follow-up costs: €209
</div>
<div>
 Necessary pre- and post-operative examinations (ultrasound, follow-up appointments): approx. €105
</div>
<div>
 Accommodation costs due to travelling from a distance for the pre-operative consultation, the operation itself and follow-up appointments: approx. €380
</div>
<div>
 Travel costs: approx. €190
</div>
<div>
 Post-operative medication and aids (e.g. ointments, dressings, post-operative vests, etc.): approx. €320
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 I’m uploading the most important receipts, with personal details removed, so you can see that the costs are genuine. I’ve documented the rest and kept them on file in case GoFundMe asks for them. Please note: GoFundMe deducts approximately 2.9 per cent plus a small fixed amount per donation as a transaction fee (€0.25 according to my current information), so I'll receive slightly less in total.
</div>
<div>

<div>
 <strong>How your donation helps</strong>
</div>
<div>
 Your donations help me to close this gap – to rebuild my own financial buffer and pay off my debts, so that I can get back on my feet. Every amount helps, whether it’s €5 or €50. And if you can’t spare any money right now, sharing this post is just as important.
