Marlenka McDowell, RN, BSN & Family

On Sunday, July 16, 2017, the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center family lost an angel tragically and suddenly. Marlenka McDowell, RN, BSN, was one of us! She was a loving, compassionate, happy, and generous soul, and an amazing nurse, daughter, mother, and friend. She was a fighter, never giving up on her dreams of becoming an RN and even finishing school, while always putting her family and others first. We can't even begin to explain the love that we have for this brave and beautiful lady. We don't understand why she was taken away from us so suddenly, but we wanted to do something that Marlenka would have done for us or for others. So, we decided that, at the very least, we could take care of her family--her mother Marya Williams, and her sons Sage, Chase, and Dawson, since they are an extension of our nursing family. We hope that whatever funds we raise will offset the funeral costs and will help her family in any way they need. This is not to profit anyone else but her Mom and her boys.

Marlenky, we will miss your laughter, your hugs, your passion for life, your relentless service to your family and to others, and your indomitable spirit...you will be in our hearts, in our thoughts, and in our prayers forever. Rest in peace dearest friend...
