Marlene Essa's Medical Fund

Marlene Essa (who goes by "Mari") is 58 years old and is battling stage 4 brain cancer in Ankawa (Iraq). She is a loving mother who is widowed with two sons and one daughter. They had to go to North Iraq due to the circumstances back in home and is living with her son who is not able to financially support her medical treatment needs. She was diagnosed over 4 years ago and since then, the cancer has been spreading. She is not able to afford the treatment she needs and cannot sleep nor eat given the amount of pain she is in. She is in need of immediate treatment and chemotherapy, but is not able to financially afford to meet her medical expenses nor is her immediate family. Aside from her cancer, she has been through a very difficult time in her life where she lost her husband less than 2 years ago. We are desperately seeking any help we can provide for this woman to receive the medical treatment she needs.

Please note that my mother (Marlene David) will be withdrawing the funds on Mari's behalf and sending it to Mari via Western Union to Iraq, as she is in touch with her on a regular basis and will ensure she receives all funds donated. Marlene David is also the widow of William David, who was Mari's first cousin.
