Marlee’s Medical Fund

Most of you know Marlee Grosher. For those who don't, she's 19 years old and has been a star soccer player, runner and surfer as well as a stellar student, daughter and friend. Three months ago, she was a healthy 19-year-old college student studying kinesiology, teaching paddle boarding and surfing and looking foward to her future as an athlete and health professional. Suddenly her stomach started swelling. Having always been so healthy, she was shocked when her ER visit turned up a massive tumor in her stomach. After an emergency surgery, she was diagnosed with a rare malignant form of ovarian cancer called adult granulosa cell tumor. The following month she had another surgery to remove her right ovary. Unfortunately the pathology dictates the need for further treatment. Marlee is willing to lose her thick mane of gorgeous hair (it will grow back even thicker she's been told), but she is not willing to risk her fertility. This gofundme page will allow her to preserve her eggs, get second and third opinions, move foward with treatment, and have medical options for treatments that insurance won't cover. She's been told she needs to make some quick decisions and having the funds to be able to do so will lighten the stress load for Marlee and her family. 19 year olds should be enjoying life, not worrying about whether they will survive long enough to become wives and mothers.
