Mission Trip to Gradec Orphanage Haiti
Dear Family and Friends,
Happy New Year!
The reason this site was created, we would like
to share with you and your family an opportunity that has been given to both
Mark and I. Metro South Church, this is
the church we belong and partner with, will be supporting several mission trips
to Haiti, Columbia and our very own Detroit!
Mark and I both believe that our first "mission field" is our family,
church and local community and do our best to serve in all these areas. However, we feel God calling us this year to
step out of our comfort zone, partner with our local church and serve the staff
and orphans of the Gradec Orphanage in Haiti July 13th-20th.
The Bible is clear and says, "Religion that God our Father
accepts as pure and faultless is this:
to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself
from being polluted by the world." "“James 1:27
It is our job to take care of the orphans in the world. Gradec is an orphanage that takes care of
kids by educating them, giving them a home, food and most importantly teaching
them to follow Jesus Christ. During our week, we will be doing a variety of ministries
including VBS, teaching English, crafts,
painting, etc. We will primarily be loving on orphans and hanging out with
them. We are going to show them that the
God of the universe wants to be their daddy and that he is not like human
parents. If we put our faith and trust
in him he will never leave us or forsake us. This is an amazing opportunity to show the
fathers love to kids who have no parents.
The total trip will cost $1400.00 per person. This includes application fee, travel, lodging, food, transportation, and supplies. Mark and I are asking, if you would to partner and help sponsor first by prayer and second financially. If God places this on your heart, you can send your check made payable to Metro South Church or donate on this website. It can be in the amount of $5.00, $10.00, $20.00 or any other amount.
