Mark Powers Family Fund

The Powers family has experienced tragedy due to the untimely death of Jacqueline Powers, wife of Mark Powers, and mother of four beautiful children; Nevaeh, Nicholas, Natalee, and Ethan. For those that are unfamiliar with recent events, Jacqueline suffered complications after what seemed like a really bad bout with the stomach flu. Due to being bedridden with the flu, and being severely dehydrated she developed a case of pneumonia. She had really bad pains in her chest, and after a CT scan they determined she had blood clots in her lungs. It was then determined that these clots came from her legs, essentially caused by a condition called DVT, or Deep Vein Thrombosis. The releasing of these clots caused a Pulmonary Embolism, in which doctors fought very hard to resolve. They were very successful at destroying the initial clots, but more and more released causing her organs to shut down. They tried all kind of treatments to get oxygen back into her bloodstream, giving her multiple units of blood, and had her on dialysis to clean her blood. Ultimately, the decision was made to fly her to Nashville for more specialized treatment. She arrived at Nashville on Saturday the 22nd. Sunday night clots released that were too much for her body or Doctors to deal with, some reaching her brain. She leaves behind Mark, their four kids, a mother, and a father with all kinds of medical bills, travel, child care, and funeral expenses. The family will be facing difficult times not just emotionally, but also financially, as they adjust to living with one income.  We ask you for your support to help Mark and their four children make it through this very difficult time.
