<div>Mark has always been a gentle giant going out of his way to help those around him.

<div>Growing up he enjoyed sailing, fishing and camping.

<div>But it was surfing that would become his life long passion, a passion his wife Christine and sons Jack and Tom would also share.

<div>Water sports later extended to Wake Boarding with the entire family taking part at Lake Eppalock.

<div>Mark started at Lysaghts in 1988, a terrific crew member, trainer, SPO and mate to all. Nothing was too much trouble and he was always ready to help anyone.
</div>

<div>Leaving in 2023 after 35 years to tour Australia with his wife Christine on their dream holiday he was ready to live the good life.
</div>

<div>After a few months Mark became ill and consulted a doctor, a CT scan in Busselton WA revealed a mass on his Pancreas.
</div>
<div>They returned home asap arriving safely on November 1st, 2024.
</div>

<div>3 days later Mark was admitted to Peninsula Private Hospital in acute pain. Here he was given the life changing diagnosis - stage 4 Pancreatic cancer which had spread to his liver.
</div>

<div>Mark is now hospitalized with multiple issues stemming from his cancer, multiple blood clots, bowel infections, lung infections, a stroke and diabetes. After 3 rounds of chemo a CT scan revealed the worst, the tumours are aggressive and spreading.
</div>
<div>How long Mark has is hard to say, but he is looking at weeks or maybe a month at best.
</div>

<div>We are trying to raise as much money as possible to help Mark return home where he will require 24hr nursing. We hope to raise enough to help Mark's family to pay the nursing costs and for the costs after he passes.
</div>
