“Death is a heartache no one can heal, love is a memory no one can steal.” – Richard Puz

A statement couldn’t be truer for the young man, Mark Haller Jr. and his family.

Mark’s unexpected passing brought a heart-breaking shock to his family, leaving behind his beautiful wife Stephanie Haller and 3.5-year-old son, Brady Haller.

On August 11th, 2017, Mark passed peacefully in his sleep while away on a work trip. Death is never an easy thing to accept, the gravity of forever is such a hard abstract for us to understand. In Mark’s passing, the shock was so sudden as he was such a young and active man, without any health concerns. The news of his death left everyone in a surreal state; how could this be?

Mark was a devoted citizen as well as husband and father. He served his country for 4 years in the United States Air Force and completed a degree in Criminal Justice at Western University. Most recently, his devotion was for his family, as he sometimes worked 80 hours in a week, miles away from his wife and son, in order to provide for his family in Western Michigan.

It was never easy for Stephanie and Brady to say goodbye to Mark as he left for weeks at a time for his job, but the sweet homecomings made their time together that much more precious. Mark and Stephanie loved to challenge each other at the gym, spend time with their son at the pool, and devote their hearts to God with the community at Ada Bible Church. In the fall, you could certainly find Mark near a Michigan football game, on the phone with his father, Mark Haller Sr, or younger brother Jacob Baldwin, discussing each play in intricate detail.

Mark made unforgettable memories with his family of three siblings. His positive energy, infection smile, and kind, generous heart will leave a permanent impact on his friends and family.

A loss of a loved one does two equally powerful yet emotionally polarizing truths. One, it gives us a pain that nothing can match or heal, not even time. Yes you may laugh again, but every time his dad and brother watch a Michigan game, their heart will ache, and this will never go away. Every time Stephanie watches her son achieve a milestone in life without her soulmate by her side, her heart it will ache. This is the first truth of death.

The second truth is just as powerful and long lasting, but much more beautiful. In time of grieving, we see how love can uplift and support those in mourning. We witness communities come together and bring light to their fellow members who are in the dark.

It is the second truth that brings me to open this page. The financial burden of a loved one’s death can be detrimental to a young family. If you have experienced this loss in your life, you know that time doesn’t stop for you, the to do lists keep getting longer, and the bills keep coming.

I would like to show Stephanie and Brady that they are not left alone, that their community will give them light in their dark time.

Their gratitude for your contribution in prayer or financial support is deeply felt.

Thank for continuing to make the world a brighter place.
