Mark Greene: Elections Director Campaign
I'm Mark Greene and I'm running for Director of Elections in King County, Washington. I'm the middle one in the picture (wearing a Mariners baseball cap) in a town debate for city council. I am the candidate for director that will support your ideas about election integrity, stand against the bewildering ranked choice voting and on-line voting and earn your respect. For someone who truly cares for our community, look no further. If we join together and make our voices heard, we can make sure that only citizens in proper jurisdictions vote in elections, tabulations are randomly checked by hand, or just hand altogether, and integrity is the rule.
It is important to follow the law to the tee in making frequent and proper tests of election machinery (and it is the law to test machinery) if implementing 'hand counts only' of ballots proves to be a political/budgetary obstacle, but 'hand counts only' are the goal, at least for the secondary goal of random and frequent auditing of machine counts before election results are released. If we go to a hand count system solely or in some elections, those must be audited as well. Naturally, we will verify that every change in the present system that we intend to make for open and transparent elections is within the confines of state and federal laws.
This is the biggest election in the State of Washington this year. Your contribution will enable us to support the election campaign for the improvement of elections in general.
Note: I also go by C. Mark Greene (Mark is my middle name which I am mostly known in the community by).
