Update- Mark Ellis' Memorial Fund

Update- as many of you have seen, our dear friend has lost his battle and passed away December 9. These funds will now be reallocated to pay for his Celebration of Life/Memorial which will be held next month and possibly any still accruing and/or past bills. More details will be available shortly once we have them nailed down. Thank you to everyone that has donated. We had truly hoped that we would recover and he will be missed. For those who know and many of you who have been missing him and inquiring, Mark has been very sick for the last 4 months. Mark has been diagnosed with two mega viruses that his immune system has been unable to fight and he is currently hospitalized indefinitely as a result. All treatments to date have been unsuccessful in combating these viruses. However, we and his doctors are very optimistic they will find a treatment that works. Thinking of our dear friend suffering in this way is one of the most difficult things we can face. However, we know him as a fighter, a survivor, and very independent. We are creating this GoFundMe to help pay for his everyday expenses, medical expenses, and long term expenses while he fully recovers. Getting the mega viruses under control is just the first step. His recovery time will be quite extensive. He will require extensive physical therapy and just general healing time to build back up his strength, immune system, and muscles. Mark has been there for each and every one of us at some point or another, and if he hasn't, well you always knew he would be if needed. Or maybe you just know him for his famous crawfish! Now it's our turn to give back, now it's our turn to be that friend, and to show our support and love for him, for someone that has made an impact in our lives, so we can let him know that he isn't fighting for his life alone and not forgotten, and that we all have his back and will support him every step of the way, on his road back to recovery.
