Mark Echols Kidney

Back at the beginning of 2018, my brother was "denied" a life insurance policy only to be told that he was in stage four kidney failure. As you can imagine, this came as a shock to not only him but also our entire family. A seemingly healthy 38 year old with no previous diagnosis suddenly fighting for his life. His kidney function was at 15% in March of 2018.  At 20% a person normally goes on a donor list and at 10%, dialysis is required. He was smack-dab in the middle.  He is currently at 12%.   Shortly after his diagnosis, an ultra sound detected that he actually only had ONE kidney. We aren't sure if this was from birth or if this happened as a result of the kidney failure. To make matters even worse, the insurance that Mark has is refusing  to pay for any of the procedures, testing, surgeries, donor expenses, etc.  To back up a little, in 2016 my nephew (his son) was in a severe ATV accident and has had to undergo 8 surgeries in the past 2 years. Needless to say, this has left him and his family in a very financially bleak situation.  The doctors are saying that dialysis is in his VERY NEAR future since he is currently at 12% function.  With that being said, time is of the essence to get a kidney.   With insurance refusing to pay for any of the procedures we are hoping to raise money to help get this process started.  We know that the GREAT PHYSICIAN is ultimately in control of my brother’s life but we are asking for your support not just financially but also by praying that his functions stays above 10% until we can get a donor lined up. Please join me and my family in a fight for life!!  Thank you in advance for your prayers and support.  Our family will forever be indebted to you all.
