Mark Black Emergency Medical Fund

Donation protected
On Friday July 27th Mark Black, loving husband and father of 14 children, was on his way home to his family's farm when a deer jumped in to the road in front of him. Mark was riding on his motorcycle and hit the deer head on. He flipped over the handle bars, rolled, and skidded about 90 feet on the pavement. Through the grace of God Mark only suffered a severe concussion, road rash on much of his arms and torso, many broken ribs, and broken collar bones. He was life-flighted by helicopter to Spokane because of his head injury, where he was later released the next day to recover at home. Mark is self-employed and the sole provider for his family. He will be unable to work, as his business is forestry, for at least eight weeks as all of his bones heal. He is unable to even stand at this point due to the excruciating pain in his chest, shoulders, and back from the broken bones. His medical bills are expected to be approximately $20,000 and bills are already starting to come in. The family is also still paying monthly on a $58,000 bill from when their nine year old daughter was severely injured in a sledding accident in January and a $10,000 bill from when their 11 year old son severed tendons in his foot after stepping on discarded metal. Their 24 year old son was also very badly burned in June when a motor home he was driving caught fire. All of this has been on top of losing their precious three month old daughter, Abigail, one year ago. Mark has been so strong and supportive of all of his children and his wife Angela through all of their trials. They have been through so much in such a short time and now Mark is completely without income for at least the next few months, with many small children to feed and obligations to meet. This campaign will help alleviate some of the financial burden on this wonderful family so that Mark can focus on his healing. Any and all support are appreciated and please pray for God's healing and provision for the Black's through this time.
