Mark and Laurie's Home Rebuilding

My parent's home was one of the thousands that burnt down in the Tubbs Fire of early October. They were insured, but have since learned that the replacement soil, estimated to be $30,000, is considered part of the dwelling  coverage of the house.

It's not usual for soil and foundation replacement to be included as part of the insurance coverage after a fire, but this was not a normal fire.

My parents are now under-insured, and could use some financial assistance in rebuilding their home.
