I am raising money for a special friend of mine. She started out being diagnosed with CF/Chronic Pancreatitis.
She was doing okay until she got to where she couldn’t tolerate foods. This caused her to lose 8lbs in just 4 days. Losing weight this fast led to malnutrition of her body causing her bone density to be osteopenia, almost osteoporosis. It also caused her to get a significant infection and she is on IV antibiotics.
They had to put in a Dobhoff feeding tube to try to get her nutrition back up.
She was currently referred to John’s Hopkins to get a pancrectomy with Islet cell transplantation.
With all of this going on, she is stuck in the hospital and unable to work. She is also missing her sons and had to miss the first day of school. I am trying to raise money to help out while she is unable to receive any income and to help with travel expenses when they go to John’s Hopkins.
