Marion's Liver Transplant

Hi Friends & Family,
My sister in law, Marion Harber Brown, has had a liver condition called PSC for the last ten years. Over the last 6 months her health has deteriorated (her liver being in its last life) and she has been in the Kenora Hospital for the past two weeks. It's always been told to us that her cure is a liver transplant and now a transplant is an urgent need.
Marion is being transferred to Toronto today (Oct 20, 2017) and is on the liver wait list (Phew) – we aren’t quite sure where she will sit on the list and we are hopeful that she can be kept stable until a new liver is available. Recovery time once a transplant is given is typically 1.5 months.
My brother has travelled with her and will be with her until the transplant is complete and she is stable. My nephews (10,11 and 12) will be staying with my parents and they will also be looked after by Marion's Mum. Luckily my parents are also going to try and keep the business (Verti-Shade) functioning in their absence.
We have prepared a go-fund me offering to try to offset the high costs of travel to and from Toronto, cover some hotel and food costs for Darryl. In addition, any additional support he can receive will also help offset lost wages for the two of them.
We are happy to report that that Marion is comfortable, hopeful and not in any current pain. The great staff at the ICU in Kenora have been terrific and they have helped prep Marion to receive her new liver.
