Marina's Study Abroad in Italy

Howdy folks!

I have a great opportunity to do a Study Abroad program over the summer. We'll be going to Italy for a month where we'll explore archeological sites, museums, and cities in Italy. We'll be visiting a few different cities, including Populonia, Rome, Naples, and Florence.

I am incredibly excited and thankful for the opportunity to further my arts education with a Study Abroad that my school, Stetson University, offers. I'm looking forward to immersing myself in some of the art that I've learned about during my college career! However, going abroad doesn't come without a cost.

I am seeking some financial assistance to help with the program, flight, food, and to help make up for the work I'll be missing for the month I am abroad.

The program is $4,500-$5,000, which includes excursions, museum passes, public transportation, and housing

Flights are approximately $1,500, which includes a carry on bag

I'm estimating $50/day for food, at approximately $1,500 for the month

This leaves the total for the trip to be, on the low end, $7,500. I have already received a scholarship of $1,500 and another of $500, which helps immensely! That still leaves me needing to spend about $5,500, which also does not include the loss of income during my time abroad.

To those that know me, I do not have any familial support, as two years ago I lost my mother in a fatal car crash, and a few years before that my father unexpectedly passed due to a heart attack.

I would be incredibly thankful for any financial assistance that you could offer! I'm setting the goal to be $5,000, which will immensely help the financial strain this trip will place on me. I do not foresee another opportunity to go abroad for a while, and so I am determined to make the trip by any means possible.
