Marilyn's Fight Against Cancer

Hello everyone! As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to an end, I wanted to shed light on one last story that is very near and dear to my heart. Throughout the month of October my mom, Marilyn Winder, has been in and out of doctors appointments after discovering a lump near her right breast. After three weeks of various blood tests and scans, on October 26th 2017 she was officially diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) that had metastisized to her lymphnodes.  Her team of doctors immediately took action and scheduled her first round of chemotherapy for the very next day. With such an aggressive cancer, the oncologist decided to place her on a harsh treatment plan that consists of 5 months of a "dense dose" of chemo, surgery, radiation, and then another round of chemo in hopes to prevent the cancer from spreading further. While she and I are grateful that these radical meaures are being taken, all of this time in and out of the hospital will also cut into her work hours. Medical bills are piling up and this is only the beginning of a very long journey.  Any of you who know Marilyn personally knows she is the strongest, kindest, and most giving person who has remained consistently optimistic over the years despite the hardships she has faced. As she faces this next chapter of life, I ask that you all stand by her side and support her with whatever means available. We are asking for prayers, good thoughts, and donations to help our family through this challenging time.
