Marilyn Horton Funeral and Memorial Service

Hello friends and family of members of our beloved Leslie Blackhawk / MatHawks stewards; Danielle Powell and Daniel Olifer.

On February 14th, Danielle’s mother, Marilyn Horton passed away swiftly and unexpectedly after a brief but tragic health crisis. Marilyn was surrounded in love at the time of her passing as she left this world for her eternal heavenly home.

Marilyn leaves behind her loving and loyal daughter; Danielle and son; Ross Maxson.

Sharing and shouldering the grief of her passing are her grandsons, Carter, Chase, Tanner, Levi, Ryder and Tucker as well as extended family and friends.

As if the bereavement isn’t enough to bear, Marilyn’s passing has also brought financial difficulties that the family is ardently navigating.

Danielle, Daniel and the family are involved and committed members of the community who are constant and committed advocates for others who demonstrate their voluntary service efforts through involvement in youth sports with vigor. Now it is time we ask that we demonstrate our appreciation and empathy for them in this time of need.

As many may realize, Daniel and Danielle are hardworking parents but have additionally sustained obstacles in their pursuit of financially providing for their family. One such obstacle includes “Coach Daniel’s” recent injury and recuperation that has significantly impeded his ability to work. As we can all identify with, such unfortunate, unexpected and unanticipated circumstances can derail even the most financially secure families.
