Marie Stamey

Estella "Marie" Stamey was an amazing woman. All she ever wanted was to see her community and the people in her community prosper.  Marie was the heart of Eastside Park Community due to her many contributions to the neighborhood and surrounding comunities.  Marie started the after school program in her very own home. The kids love Marie and she for sure loved them back.  The after school program went from her kitchen to a building with ideas brought by her and a couple others. She also contributed to the playground outside of the center. She was a good friend to everyone in the neighborhood.  
Not only was Marie special to her community, she was the heart of her family. She was a great mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. 
Marie was a fighter who has been putting up a strong fight since 2014. In  2014, Marie was diasgnosed with a kidney disease. She has been fighting this battle for the past 3 years with her family and friends right beind her. We have been holding her hand this whole time, and we held her hand until she parted from us on October 2, 2017 @ 8:12 PM.. 
The funds raised in this campaign will go towards funeral expenses. The funeral will be held next Monday October 9, 2017 and we will post further updates and information.
