Maribel Rosado Funeral expenses and kids support

Tragically on Tuesday August 11th at 8 am Maribel Rosado was gun downed in front of her children. It was approximately 7 am on the first day of school in Martin County, Florida. Maribel was preparing her kids breakfast. Meanwhile the children were at the kitchen table with their computers open ready to start school. Maribel’s ex-boyfriend entered the door into the kitchen with the gun drawn. Immediately Brian defended his mom still seated in front of his computer. The gun was then pointed at him and shot hitting his computer. Then the gun was aimed at the Maribel, the kids’ mom. She immediately ran into the adjacent laundry room trying to get her kids out of arms way. Where she tragically took the fatal bullets that ended her young life.
Maribel was 32 years old a single mom with 6 kids, Jessica 17 , Lulu 16, Luis 14 , Xavier 13, Brian 11, and the youngest child who has Down syndrome 9. Maribel worked hard to provide for her family. They currently work in a home the mom purchased through Habitat for Humanity that has a small mortgage. The Grandmother is taking custody of the children. The children have pleaded they want to stay in their childhood home. Close to where they have memories of their mom and close to the church they attend as well as their friends. The only way that will happen without your support is for the grandmother to go back to work full time.
The community along with the family is asking you to help. The goal is to pay funeral arrangements, pay off the mortgage for the house as well as help support the kids, and pay for counseling. If there is money left we would love to set up a scholarship for each of the kids so that they can have a chance at a normal life.
Even though there is a lot of pain and evil in the world right now. We can all sit back and think how blessed we are. If nothing more than the fact that we woke up this morning. I ask you to be a blessing to this family. One thing I can promise you nobody can out give God. He know are hearts and sees our actions and intentions.
