A group of Marian's girlfriends want to send Marian & Blake to Key West, FL for their honeymoon as a SUPRISE!
Someone once said,
"you don't get many happy suprises as adults".
Nine months ago, Marian Nguyen's mother, Mai, was devestatingly suprised with the diagnosis of small cell lung cancer with few treatment options. A rare cancer only affecting non-smokers or women of Eastern-Asian descent. The few options have become nonexistant upon recent news from the oncologist. Despite agressive treatments, the cancer has progressed to a stage-4 status.
As many of you may know, Marian lost her father in 2012, making this time especially painful for the family.
Marian and her partner of 3 years, Blake Barnwell, became engaged December 2016 with a date set in January 2018. Upon hearing the recent prognosis, they have decided to advance the date of their wedding to August 2017 in order to ensure that Mai can be present for the wedding.
Marian, Blake and their families have immediately swarmed to take care of the Nguyen matriarch.
Marian's girls thought they should do the same for Marian & Blake.
With some help though.
The Adams family has generously offered their vacation home in Key West as the destination for Marian & Blake's honeymoon.
Marian's gals would like to take care of the financial burden of travelling to the location.
In a very stealth way, we would like to bestow Marian & Blake with the gift of a honeymoon that wil allow them a special memory despite the hard times they are facing now.
This gift is a suprise, so please do not mention to either Marian or Blake! We only have a month to raise our goal of $400 which would cover flight and transportation costs. The gift will be presented to them on their wedding night.
