Marian & Alfi need help

2 years ago, I was forced to leave my husband of 33 years from an abusive marriage in Mexico.  I am trying to survive on Social Security, which isn't much.  My BFF was a great help to Alfi and I, but it's not in my nature to be a burden on anyone.  This is a very humbling situation.  After arriving in Portland, I ended up in the hospital, and I'm still trying to pay those bills.  In 2012, I had a botched surgery in Newport, which was followed by another one and ambulance to OHSU, was immediately placed on a feeding tube and went through 5 months of not eating real food.  Finally, I was taken off the feeding tube, and had a repair surgery at OHSU, from which  I had a stroke in recovery, leaving my left hand of little use.  I can't emphasize enough how grateful I am, to all the help from my friends.  Keeping food on the table and in my dog's dish, and paying rent and electricity take most of my SS.  I get threatening letters for bill payment weekly.  It's urgent, and when possible, I would want to be able to help some of the homeless people in my community.  My picture was taken in the Morart Studio in Lincoln City which is owned by 2 of my favorite people.  Thank you to you donors for helping us!
