Maria Brough's Final Expenses

On Thursday August 24th my family suffered an unimaginable tragedy when the most important person in our lives, our mother, suffered a major heart attack. Paramedics were able to revive her, but we soon learned that her brain was severely damaged due to lack of oxygen. Despite the hard work of the medical staff and the outpouring of prayers, love and support from so many, my mom has not regained consciousness and we were informed that she would remain in a vegetative state. After receiving this devastating news our family made the heartbreaking decision to remove her from life support so that she can be at peace. She is the strongest woman in the world, but after many years of struggling with health issues her body is tired. Our mom was removed from life support on Sunday evening, but being true to her fighting nature, she is still hanging on as long as she can. 

Though she has not yet decided to leave us, my brother Nick and I are left with the monumental task of making final arrangements, paying for medical expenses and personal bills (mortgage, utilities, etc), and most importantly caring for our older brother Robert, who is disabled. Our family has been experiencing financial hardships for quite some time, but things are now dire. This was so sudden and we have no funds in place to cover these costs. We are asking your help so that we can honor our mother's final wishes and so that we can stay afloat while we grieve and transition into our new lives. Our mom is our anchor, our rock, our everything. We want to do everything we can to honor her in the way that she deserves to be, but we need your help. Anything and everything is truly appreciated, from the bottom of our hearts.
