Margo's Transition

Hello, my name is Margo Schuelke. I use he/they pronouns. I am a 19 year old trans person seeking financial support to begin my hormone replacement therapy safely and consistently.

I struggle immensely with major depressive disorder and C-PTSD, and other mental illnesses as a result of ongoing familial abuse, parental suicide, and multiple repeated instances of sexual abuse/harassment during my upbringing. I need all the help I can get to support myself. My mental health and well-being are tied directly with my gender dysphoria as a closeted trans person, so any assistance financially is directly aiding me in being a happier, healthier person and trauma survivor.

My hormones cost $140 a month, 2,000/a year. Currently, all of my income comes from working full-time. I don't currently have reliable health insurance and no immediate family to claim for insurance, so my HRT will be paid completely out of pocket.

I am also a full-time college student geared towards working in the film industry as a queer filmmaker and screenwriter. Your money is going to a creative and future movie director of film and media by and for queer people, the world will always need authentic representation of marginalized voices and I want to dedicate my life to do so.
