Hi, I’m Margarethe Treeck, and I’m biking 500km in 50 days to support SOME (So Others Might Eat), an incredible organization that I have been regularly volunteering with. They provide material aid and vital services to those experiencing homelessness and poverty in DC, ensuring they have access to the resources they need to regain their footing and thrive.

I will be starting on January 18th. Biking 500km over 50 days, on top of school, homework and extracurriculars, will be a big challenge for me, but I love biking and will embrace the opportunity to spend more time outdoors while raising funds for an organisation and cause that means a lot to me.

DC has one of the highest poverty rates in the country, and your donations will directly support efforts to uplift our community and break the poverty cycle through the Whole Person approach; providing Housing, Emergency and Social Services, Healthcare, Education and Workforce Development, and Advocacy, so that those in need are helped not just in the immediate future but in the long term as well.

Every dollar counts in uplifting those in need, and please consider donating to help SOME continue their vital work!
