Maren Kaniewski's Designing4Hope

On Thursday, August 24th the Kaniewskis (Rick, Bridget, Maren, Ricky, & Deirdre) received the worst news a family can get: their beautiful little girl Maren (6) was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
In a short span of time, their family went from enjoying a week at the beach to navigating this life changing diagnosis and gearing up to Beat Cancer. Maren will undergo 4-5 rounds of an intensive inpatient treatment with short opportunities to come home in-between. Luckily, she is being treated at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, one of the best children’s oncology hospitals in the world.
When you have little control over your situation you take control over everything you can. While Rick and Bridget shuffle to be with Maren at CHOP as much as possible, they are also working hard to keep some semblance of normalcy for Ricky and Deirdre, who have started school, are trying to maintain as much of a normal schedule as possible.
The Judge Group is partnering with Designing4Hope to have the bedrooms of Maren, Ricky (12), and Deirdre (10) redesigned. As we all know, a kid’s bedroom is a special place. At a time when everything is a little harder, we would like to provide a lift for everyone and a special place where Maren can simply be a little girl again.
We would greatly appreciate any support you are able to give. The Kaniewski family are firm believers in prayers and will also be accepting those. If prayer is not your thing they will also accept positive vibes, well wishes, good feelings, hugs, love, shoulders to cry on, and spiritual positively.
Thank you for your support. We will be sure to continue to provide updates on Maren’s progress and treatment as she beats cancer as well as the progress on the redesigned bedroom sanctuaries.
