Marcus 's Recovery Fund

Marcus was just a baby when he was diagnosed with hearing loss, but that didn't stop him from living life.  But then in 89 while in high school, he developed IgA nephropathy which caused his kidneys to fail.  In 1994 his dad gave him the gift of life with one of his kidneys. However,  it only lasted a few years causing Marcus to go back on treatments. Then on Christmas Eve in 1999, he received the gift of life again allowing him to work, bowl, watch football and enjoy life.  My positive good-natured cousin was back to normal.

Then a couple of years ago his kidney started acting up again. During this time his mom passed away, then a year later his dad and since then Marcus has been in and out of the hospital with dialysis-related issues.  He was yet again placed on the list for a new kidney, but having a third kidney is a bit challenging.

Well, the gift of life call came on March 6th and above is Marcus signing in ICU after surgery March 7th.  The last couple years have been challenging for Marcus, and we're hoping he has turned the corner and can get back to living life again.  

While Marcus heals he, could use assistance with medical and household bills as he's had to take so much time off work.
