Marc and Mary Pinney went camping with their three children in East Texas, pitched a tent, spent time with their family who had joined them and then went inside the tent. A storm blew through and a tree fell on the tent taking the life of Mary and critically injuring Marc. Marc is a trial attorney with his own practice. He will remain in the hospital in Tyler, TX for at least a month before transferring to a rehab center in Houston.
Mary was truly the love of his life. Their three children were their foster children that they ultimately adopted. Marc will not be able to work for a long while and, in the meantime, will be dealing with mountains of hospital bills, care for the children, funeral expenses, and household expenses. Many of you reached out wanting to help and the family has authorized the establishment of this Go Fund Me Account. The $50,000 amount is arbitrary as we have no idea at the present time what the bills will be and the expenses that will this family will bear. My name is Diane St. Yves and I am a friend of Marc Pinney, a law school chum and a colleague, The family authorized me to start this GoFunbdMe page for Marc's family. I started this GoFundMe page to help Marc and his family raise funds for necessary medical expenses, living expenses and child care. A month after this horrific accident, Marc is still hospitalized and unable to work. I have spoken with Marc on several occasions and we communicate regularly. Once the funds are withdrawn, I will be transferring them to Marc at the hospital so that he be assured his monthly expenses, medical care and children are cared for and can continue to be cared for. I appreciate everyone's help and concern as Marc travels this difficult road to recovery. Marc and his children will be the sole beneficiary of these funds to help defray all of the above expenses.
Marc cannot thank each of you enough for your outpouring of kindness and concerns, your love and prayers and your willingness to help him with his practice and family. Please continue to pray as there is still a long road ahead for Marc and his children.
